Outreach

In 2008, the CIS Outreach Teams will be available to work in parishes, schools and groups in teaching contemplative ways of praying in order to build up the prayer life and spirituality of your community. Experienced spiritual directors and prayer companions will work closely with you in developing a program that will allow participants to deepen their personal prayer life and relationship with God. Our Program may also develop spiritual leaders within the parish.

How will this be done?

Experienced spiritual directors and prayer companions will come to your group to offer prayer days and home retreats, and support ongoing spiritual development.

How would your community benefit?

Our team will work closely with you in developing a program that will allow participants to:
Deepen their personal prayer life and relationship with God.
Develop leadership potential within the parish.
Build an increased awareness of spirituality and communal prayer.

Onsite Retreats: Home Retreats in Daily Life

If you can organise a group of 6 to 12 people, we will send a retreat director to you. The retreat can vary in length and includes guided daily personal prayer based on the Gospel stories. The retreatants will meet for spiritual conversation with their director in the context of everyday life and family responsibilities. Please contact your local CIS.

Onsite Retreats: Parish Weekend Retreats

Our CIS teams can offer a guided retreat in your parish setting consisting of several talks by the retreat director, time for personal prayer and spiritual conversation. The weekend retreat runs Sat and Sun 9.00 am - 3.00 pm, including a shared BYO lunch. Contact your local CIS.

Masculine Spirituality Loyola SA.
